Swing, Jive, Jitterbug - Their Back!

It’s not just swing, other dance styles - such as mambo, cha-cha, tango, fox trot, jive and jitterbug are back. Once again, their popularity is on the rise. What a fun way to inject some new energy on the dance floor!

Bands such as Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s, Royal Crown Revue, and Cherry Poppin’ Daddy’s are enjoying their stay on many playlists. This trend has momentum to re-introduce us some great swing artists of the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s. Music that will bridge the oldest to the youngest dancers.

The Brian Setzer Orchestra is a familiar and modern band that pushed deep into the big band era. You may recall the band ‘The Stray Cats’. Setzer was the lead vocal, filling dance floors across the country with tunes such as Rock This Town, Stray Cat Strut, and She’s Sexy + 17.
